What's Andromnia?

Andromnia is a project whose goal is to port the Linux kernel and Android operating system to the Samsung Omnia. The following phones are supported:

  • Samsung i900 (GSM, supported worldwide)
  • Samsung i910 (CDMA, used by Verizon in the US)
  • Samsung i780 (Mirage)
  • Samsung i907 (AT&T Epix)

Check out the screenshots page to see what it looks like in action.

How do I install it?

Right now, the project is still in the pre-alpha stages, which means that it's not ready for the general public. If you know what you're doing, you can download the latest (incomplete and possibly unstable) release using the button to the right.

Will this change my phone?

The way the project's set up now, Android will run off of the SD card and cause no change whatsoever to your phone, unless you tell Android to do so.
